Dates and venue confirmed for Seoul 2024 Homeless World Cup
The Homeless World Cup Foundation is delighted to announce that the dates and venue for the Seoul 2024 Homeless World Cup have been confirmed.
In partnership with Big Issue Korea, the 19th edition of the much-loved global football tournament will take place from Saturday 21st September – Saturday 28th September, 2024.
The Seoul 2024 Homeless World Cup will be held at Hanyang University in Seoul and matches will be played at the University Stadium on campus. In Sacramento last year, it was the first time the Homeless World Cup had been held at a university with matches being played at the Hornet Stadium, California State University.
In addition to the excellent existing facilities available at the University Stadium, additional purpose-built stands for fans coming to watch the competition and three Homeless World Cup pitches will be built on the current playing surface at the University Stadium for the highly anticipated Seoul 2024 Homeless World Cup.
The 8-day footballing festival in Seoul will be the first time the Homeless World Cup has been held in in Asia since the tournament was introduced in 2003 and promises to be a once in a lifetime moment for up to 500 players from across the globe.
